BERGSTROM, Lee Roy (Age 75) Lee was born on August 30, 1941 in Walla Walla Washington, to Roy and Arlie Bergstrom. He passed away November 15, 2016 in Spokane WA. He was the youngest of the family having six sisters. Lee moved to Spokane Washington and was raised by his brother-in-law Bill and sister Joyce Reilly. Lee attended Gonzaga Prep HS and graduated from North Central HS in 1959. Lee joined the Operating Engineers in 1966 and worked construction on various dam projects throughout the area including the Grand Coulee Dam. Lee worked for S&F Construction and later retired from Inland Asphalt Co., in 2000. Lee married the love of his life Diane Haynes Shippy in 1972 and they raised three wonderful boys. Lee loved his boys and enjoyed teaching them to camp, hunt, and fish. (Although he always had to catch the biggest one) Lee was an amazing father and very proud of his boys and their families.Lee was preceded in death by his loving wife Diane in 2010. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws, Ron and Rhonda Shippy, Craig and Gwen Shippy, Brian and Cass Bergstrom; grandchildren: Blaine, Vanessa, Tyler, Suzanna, Corbin, and Shawn. great-granddaughter Aubriella; sisters: Joyce, Arlene, Linda, Gay, Doris, and Joan. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at 11:30 a.m., on December 10th, at Lee's home in Spokane. Please contact Brian or Ron for any additional information.
