Larry D Kendrick, (64) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma August 16, 1958 - August 30, 2022
Larry Dewayne Kendrick was born August 16, 1958, to John & Mary Etta Kendrick in Wichita Falls, TX. His family later relocated to Seaside, California in 1964 where Larry attended Manzanita Elementary, Martin Luther King Jr high, and Seaside High School class of 1976.
Larry became acquainted Jesus Christ at an early age when his family united with a local Baptist church in Seaside, Ca. Larry also worked for Seaside Sanitation Department before relocating to Oakland, CA (1977) and then moved to OKC in 1986 where he worked as a restaurant Manager.
Larry was the first kid to ever destroy a Tonka truck. He was a daredevil at a young age and would be seen jumping garbage cans on his bicycle or seen flying down the street full throttle on his minibike. After he tore up his minibike, he picked up roller skating. Roller skating became one of his passions and he could easily skate up to 20 miles with his boom box on his shoulders. His love of music was his family legacy, and he could be heard belting out notes in the shower. Larry loved joking around and was always looking for a good time. He never met a stranger in his walk of life because he had love for everybody and always left a lasting impression on all he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Etta, paternal grandparents Benjamin Harrison & Ella Bell Kendrick, maternal grandparents Mary Elizabeth &, William Wilson Sr., his son Larry D Kendrick Jr, two brothers Clifton and Ritchie Kendrick.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Stepmother Naomi Kendrick (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) Three Sister: Johnnie Ruth Kendrick-Ejofor (Abilene, Texas) Mardina Kendrick-Blackshire (Midwest City) Sherri Kendrick-Lewis (Troy) Edmond, Oklahoma. Five brothers: Robert Kendrick (Ella) DeSoto, Texas, John Edward Kendrick (Syrllia) Oklahoma City, James Haril Kendrick (Shantara) Fairfield, California, Kanahl Kendrick (Narisse) San Jose, California, Leslie D Kendrick (Rochelle) Midwest City, Oklahoma One Aunt Elizabeth “Ann” Locket Abilene, Texas, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of close relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
