Our beloved Kurt Amari Cates, 27,was called Home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2022. after a fatal car accident. This loss is one that has hit our family both tragically and unexpectedly. He will be remembered for his bright smile, charming personality, and unconditional love that he so freely shared with others. Kurt was born to Byron Powers and Aja Cates on April 07, 1994. Kurt graduated from Frederick Douglass high school in 2012. Kurt worked at P & J Contracting Company and was passionate about his work and also affecting the most positive change in people. Kurt was survived by his parents, siblings, and a large host of family and friends.
