Our beloved Kristty Rose Vallecillo passed away from cancer with family at her side on April 22, 2015. Born July 17, 1980 in Managua, Nicaragua, Kristty came to the United States at age two and lived in San Francisco, California before she moved to Monterey County. Kristty will be forever loved by her parents, Hernán and Adela Vallecillo of Salinas, her sisters and best friends Mammie Vallecillo and Johanna (Nick) Wojciak of Rocklin. She will be sadly missed by her nephew, Matthew Wojciak and her niece, Katie Wojciak, whom she shared her love of Disney with and cherished. She is survived by her aunt Ada Lacayo of San Francisco and her uncle Francisco (Yadira) Salinas of Miami, Florida, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout the United States and abroad. A graduate of Loma Vista Elementary School, Salinas Christian School, Notre Dame High School (class of 1998), Central Coast College and California State University Monterey Bay, she worked as a secretary at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church. Kristty enjoyed collaborating with the staff and volunteers, and used her artistic and technological skills to help when needed at the church. A lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers and WWE, Kristty's many talents included baking, painting and doing arts and crafts. She invented a u-turn signal which her family believes one day will be built into every car on the road. The family is grateful for the care and support Kristty received from the doctors, nurses, aides, and staff at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP).
