FORD, Kim - Passed with peace and grace on October 27, 2017, with her family at her side. She is redeceased by her loving husband, Hugh in 2017. She is survived by her son, Morice, and daughter, Donya  Ford.

Kim was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, attended Chattanooga Community College and moved to Detroit as a young woman to begin her career to work for the state of Michigan. After marrying Hugh she threw her energies into raising their children. Open to all neighboring children, her kitchen was never closed. She and Hugh retired in 2008, and in addition to their many travels, she still volunteered to work for the state of Michigan to help our people during financial hardships. She will be always remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and whose greatest passion was helping others.

A service will be held at Peace Chapel Funeral Home, 19530 W. Seven mile rd, Detroit MI 48219, on 11/03/2017 from 11 to 2:30 pm. Interment at Grandlawn Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Leving and Dr. Cleveland for their care. If you wish, donations may be made to Provident Hospital or the charity of your choice.
