Kenneth "Canuto" Ludi, 76, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas passed away on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at his residence.He was born on April 23, 1939 in Las Vegas to his parents: Eddie Eloy Ludi and Mary Socorro Duran Ludi. Kenneth worked for the New Mexico Highway Department as an inspector for 34 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Chapter in Santa Fe. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants baseball team. While still in high school he played with his high school coach on the Las Vegas Merchants baseball team. He loved to gamble at the horse races with his sons: Kirk, Darryl and Gary with him, and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons Aaron and Mathew. He loved to host visitors on his front porch. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eddie Eloy and Mary Socorro Ludi; and step-son: Aaron Nelson Sr.He is survived by his sons: Darryl Ludi and partner, Ivan of Aurora, Colo., Kirk Ludi of Las Vegas, Gary Ludi of Aurora, Colo.; grandsons: Aaron Nelson Jr., and Mathew Nelson; brothers: Eddie Ludi Jr. of Cheyenne, Wyo., Randy Ludi of Las Vegas, and Alan Ludi and wife, Marie, of Albuquerque; former wife and mother of his sons: Olivia Lucero of Aurora, Colo.; numerous other relatives and many friends.Rosary services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to follow with both services being held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas with Father C. John Brasher as celebrant.Interment will follow at the Mt.
