Mrs. Julia Mae Folds Lawhorn, age 86, of LaGrange, died on May 18, 2014 at the Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Lawhorn was born on March 24, 1928 in LaGrange. She had worked at Dunson Mills as well as in the home, caring for the needs of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Jefferson Folds and Inez Short Folds, her husband, Charles Ford Lawhorn, Sr. and 11 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her sons, Charles Lawhorn and his wife Patsy of LaGrange and Tim Lawhorn and his wife Kathy of LaGrange; grandchildren, David Satterwhite, Greg Satterwhite, Donnie McCormick, Ronnie McCormick, Jake Lawhorn, Savannah Lawhorn and Jesse Lawhorn; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11 am at the Long Cane Baptist Church with remains to lie in state at the church beginning at 10 am. Rev. S.T. Janney will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel.
