In Memory of Juanita I Alvarado

Juanita Alvarado, 90, of San Antonio, Texas, passed on February 10, 2022. Juanita was born on May 20, 1931 to Abraham and Julia Ibarra in San Antonio, Texas. Here she attended Lanier High School and was a member of the Blue jackets. She was the Third oldest of Nine children. On July 29, 1951 she married Fidencio F Alvarado. They had 7 children; Teresa, Rebecca, Ramiro, Eugene, Fidel, Gabriel and Gerald Alvarado. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 29, 2001. Juanita enjoyed having pets, flowers and plant. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. She worked as a cafeteria manager in various elementary and jr high schools. She enjoyed and loved her job very much. She also enjoyed going camping with her family as well as garage sales and flea markets. Juanita Alvarado was 90 years old when she passed away at her home on February 10, 2022. Juanita is preceded into death by her parents Abraham and Julia Ibarra, sisters; Amparo, Alicia, and Hortencia. Brothers Antonio and Abraham. Husband Fidencio. Sons Eugene, Fidel, and Gerald Alvarado. Juanita is survived by her Daughters Teresa Resendez, Rebecca Garcia. Sons Ramiro Alvarado( Ramona) and Gabriel Alvarado (Lucinda) 21 grandchildren, 39 great grand children and 3 great great grand children. Sisters Consuelo Stone, Rachel Munoz, and brother Raul Oscar Ibarra and numerous nieces and nephews. Juanita was dearly loved by all her family and will be dearly missed.

Memorial services will be held at Ortiz Mortuary on 3114 Culebra Rd, San Antonio, TX 78228 on March 8 at 6:30 pm. Visitation will be from 2pm-8pm

Funeral services will be held at Fort Sam Houston at 10 Am on March 9, 2022
