Joseph "Slo" J. Walker, age 65, died on Sunday, January 21, 2018, in the comfort of his home in Mobile, Alabama. From his birth in Mobile, on March 11, 1952, to his death on Sunday he nourished people around him with love, faith, and music.

Joseph was born on a farm near Birmingham to Albert and Hannah (Sullivan) Walker and was the youngest of seven children. He was later diagnosed at the age of five with polio, however, that didn't stop "Slo". He later in life became gainfully employed in the family business as the primary record keeper.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Milton, Patrick, Stephon, and Donnie Walker. All from Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Margie and Vanessa of Birmingham, AL; along with a host of nieces, nephews and good friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by both of his parents and a special niece.
