Joseph C. Thomas McMean, 78, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Tue., April 4, 2019. Services will be private. Thomas - Mcmean. He was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph. Joe Cash was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving in Korea as a medical officer. His citations included the Korean Service Medal with two service stars and the Combat Medical Badge. For 12 consecutive years, he was a champion of the Black Gold Golf tournament. Joe Cash was preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Joe Thomas McMean, and his sister, Dorothy Thomas. He is survived by his wife; Seven children, Julia (Paul) Horne, Germantown, Tennessee, Mary (Rob Marinai), Oakland, California, Donald (Karen), Mission Hills, Kansas, and Juwana (John Thomas) Columbus Ga Ft. Benning; and eleven grandchildren, Brandon Horne, Michael Horne, Amelia Marinai, William Thomas, Samuel Moss, Grace Reeves, Kennedy, Jackson, Carter, Dylan, and Kash. A Celebration of Life will be held private. Crematory at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 6.
