Johnny Roy Douglas, 72, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on 10/14/2021. Johnny was born to parents James Douglas and Minnie Lee Rudd Douglas, on 08/30/1949 in Waskom, Texas.
Johnny received his early childhood education in Waskom, Tx. Later he moved to Dallas, Tx with his aunt Annie Marie and uncle Bennie Rudd where he continued his education at South Oak Cliff High School.
Johnny was baptized at an early age under their care at Cedar Crest Church of God.
Johnny worked as a construction worker.
After number of years of service, Johnny retired from D.Brown Brick Mason.
Johnny enjoyed a list of passions such as golfing, fishing, cooking, laughing, music and helping others.
Johnny is survived by list of survivors. Brothers Willie & Eddie Charles Douglas, spouse/caretaker Shevelle Lampkin stepdaughters Marva Lampkin Williesha & Tomesha; special grandsons Mark & Malik’; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends whom loved him dearly.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents James & Minnie Douglas, brothers Leon, Arthur, James, Leo Douglas, Sam Grant, sisters, Alice Mae Garrett and Juanita Arelland.
The family has entrusted Golden Gate Funeral Home with the arrangements. A service is scheduled for Date and time at 4155 S. R. L. Thornton FRWY Dallas, Texas 75224.
