John Gordon , 71, of Montgomery, Alabama, was born on April 4, 1950 to the late Mr. Henry and Eva Mae Gordon in Lowndes County, Alabama.

John was married to Jessie M. McCord and to this union six children was born,

John Henry was a dedicated member of Mt.Tmean Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully on the deacon board for many, many years. He departed this life on May 21, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

John Henry was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Beluah McCord, Bessie Owens, Della Brenson, Arthur Gordon, and Jim Williams.

John Henry leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of 52 years, Jessie Mae Gordon; six children: John Henry (Ora) Gordon, Jr., David Gordon, Feilcia Gordon, Wanda Gordon, Steffonia Gordon, and Christopher Gordon all of Collirene, AL; three brothers: Sammy (Lacy) Gordon of Tyler, AL, Henry Gordon of Port Chester, NY and Lee Arthur (Rolanda) Gordon of Chicago,IL; two sisters: Mary (Willie) Rudolph of Tyler, AL and Earlene (Tom) Gordon of Hayneville, AL; eight grandchildren: Samantha Gordon, Jasper Gordon, Kaitlyn Price, Ashley Melton, Orianna Gordon, Perry Rudolph, Valerie Gordon, Merecedes Rudolph. Two great grandsons: Ti'Maeion Cottrell and ChaMauhri Harris. Two special nieces Susie Siglee and Annie McCord; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
