John W. "Jack" Frantal 1938 - 2015 John "Jack" W. Frantal, 76, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully, Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Grande Prairie Health and Rehab. He was born on March 3, 1938, to the late Vincent and Marie (Junterman) Frantal in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. He received his horticulture degree from Michigan State. On July 29, 1969 he married Lacinda "Cindy" Ritzer in Kenosha. Jack worked for Kenosha Auto Transport for 16 years, before retiring in 1975 to take over Frantal Nursery and Garden Center, the family business that started in 1927. Jack and Cindy retired the business in September of 2001. Jack was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, as well as a member of the American Rose Society and a member of the Wisconsin Nurserymen's Association. Jack enjoyed snowmobiling, loved gardening, family cookouts and spending time with his family and grandkids. He was an avid Packer fan. Jack is survived by his wife Cindy of Pleasant Prairie; his children Jean (Bruce) Trongeau of Twin Lakes, John (Jill) Frantal of Pleasant Prairie and Jill (Keith) Panasewicz of Kenosha, his grandchildren Nicole Thomas, Samantha (Brandon) Hess, Aaron (Elizabeth) Frantal, Jacob Gilewski, Megan Panasewicz, Tyler Panasewicz and his great grandsons Gage, Gavin, Marshall and Liam. He is also survived by his cat Gizmo. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home with Funeral Services at 1 p.m. Private interment will follow.
