Jasolene "Jace" Carter Moss September 30, 1919 - December 9, 2016 Macon, GA- Jasolene "Jace" Carter Moss, 97, died Friday night, December 9, 2016. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Chapel of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Rev. Jimmy Towson will officiate. Entombment will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens in Toccoa, Georgia at 4:15 PM. A second visitation will be held from 3:00 until 4:00 PM Tuesday at Acree Davis Funeral Home in Toccoa. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, 719 Mulberry Street, Macon 31201. Mrs. Moss born on September 30, 1919 and was raised in Toccoa, Georgia. Her father – Luther Jason Carter (her namesake) died before she was born and her mother – Thelma Whitman Carter Mauldin Wilbanks lived for 95 years. She was the widow of Bud Swilling Moss; was preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy Carter, Bill Mauldin, Calvin Mauldin, Ross Mauldin, and Ralph Mauldin, Jr.; sister, Mozelle Mauldin Hosea. Mrs. Moss was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The grand and great grandchildren affectionately called her Me-Ma. She loved her family and always looked forward to family visits and happy times. Mrs. Moss loved to decorate, especially during Christmas. Mrs. Moss attended North Georgia College (Dahlonega, GA) and Piedmont College in Demorest, GA. She taught school in Cleveland and Dahlonega. Mrs. Moss married Bud S. Moss on August 22, 1941 and celebrated 69 ½ years of marriage. Mrs. Moss was a member and past president of Jackson Springs Garden Club, a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, the Solomon Fellowship Class, and Idle Hour Golf & Country Club. Mrs. Moss is survived by her son, Bud Carter Moss of Atlanta; daughter, Lynda Susan Moss of Atlanta; grandsons, Bud C. Moss, Jr. and wife, Sally, Kevin A. Moss and wife, Alycen; 5 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Patrick, Lauren, Anna, and Katherine Moss. Visit www.snowsmacon.com to express tributes.
