Ina Ruth Brimer BoundsRockford, TNIna Ruth Brimer Bounds, 90, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 23, 1926, in Dandridge, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Harrison and Grace Edmonds Brimer. She grew up in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School. She was married to Robert S. Bounds, Sr. from September 26, 1947 until his death, in 1980. Mrs. Bounds was retired from the Knoxville-Knox County CAC Office on Aging where she worked for many years as a training coordinator, helping seniors who were re-entering the workforce. She was a longtime member of Broadway Baptist Church in Knoxville. Mrs. Bounds is survived by her son, Robert S. (Bobby) Bounds, Jr. and wife, Lynda, of Bowdon, GA; and her daughter, Nancy Rutherford and husband, Dave, of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Leigh Anne McPherson and husband, Russ, of Spanish Fort, AL, Melinda Spisso and husband, David, of Savannah, GA, Rob Rutherford, of Bristol, TN, Curt Rutherford and wife, Allyson, of Bristol, TN, Drew Rutherford, of Knoxville, James King, of Orlando, FL, and Sybil Pritchard, of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Rollins and Cooper McPherson, Drake, Alexis, and Emerson Spisso, Brooks Rutherford, and Knox King; brothers, Ronnie Brimer, of Strawberry Plains and Jimmy Brimer and partner, James Newburn, of Knoxville; nephews and nieces, Kenny Bounds, Jackie Roach, Tommy Bounds, Duane Bounds, Sylvia Phelps, Tim Bounds, Rhonda Trupovnieks, and Susan Brimer; and sister-in-law, Dot Bounds.Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service, with Pastor Tim Turley officiating.
