IDA Ross, 70, of Chicago, Illinois, passed on September 30, 2021. IDA was born on April 18, 1951. To Margaret C Lyons and Jeffrey H Ross. 

Ida went home to be with the King and preceded her parents who were both born and raised in Southern Kentucky. When Ida was 7 her father and mother moved her to Chicago where they later went on to have five more children. Three boys and two girls. 

The youngest is Jasmine, moving forward in age, next is Michael, Lauren, Brian , and Anthony at the oldest. 

In the summer of 1969 Ida graduated from Dunbar vocational high school on the south side of Chicago. After graduation she continued her studies at Harry S Truman on Chicago's north side studying law enforcement.where she graduated with a 4.0 and later got a job at the cook county jail. She later met Bill Maher who also attended Harry S Truman. Later in the year of 1971 they were married. 

In 1972 Ida gave birth to her first child. Ellen and her second child on the fall of 1975. They named him Jacob. Life was amazing for the married couple. Ida was truly happy and let it be known daily that she had married the love of her life. 

Sadly today Ellen, Bill and Jacob are laying her to rest along with her great host of nieces nephews cousins and grandkids. 

She leaves behind twelve grandchildren who loved her deeply and dearly.
