Herbert was born in Charleston South Carolina to Thelma and Henry Young. When he was very young he moved to Texas where he later met and married Amy Mays. The two had two wonderful daughters and will later move to Arizona to begin a new life. Herbert graduated from school obtaining a bachelor's in business and worked as a manager for several companies. He love what he did and enjoyed the life that he lived and his family love them too. Some of his main interests were listening to jazz music watching sports and throwing family get togethers. He is survived by his two children and five grandchildren.
