Gwendolyn "Yvonne" was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on April 27, 1955, to the late Richard Bartley and Mary Keller Guinyard. She was the youngest of 7 children.
Gwendolyn, better known as Yvonne, at age 5, moved to The Bronx with her eldest sister Mary Jane and attended New York City Public School, including Walton High School. She was a fiercely dedicated mom to all. Her support to others was endless, whether it was her nieces, nephews, cousins, or friends. She enjoyed taking her kids and others to places like the circus, the park, and Rockefeller Center to see the lighting of the Christmas tree,
Yvonne was honored with two sons whom she cherish, Jermel and Dennis Bartley. She was a dedicated, loving mom who enjoyed spending time with her boys and visiting family in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and South Carolina. Yvonne loved her trips to Atlantic City. You can find Yvonne singing and dancing to her favorite song, "Rocking Chair" by Gwen McCrae. She loved watching game shows like "Price is Right.
For over 20 years, Yvonne loved caring for people as Home Health Aide.
Yvonne had an unbreakable union for over 40 years with Carl (Pork-chop) Mullins; together, they blended their families.
Yvonne transitioned home on April 24, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, to be with her Beloved Spouse, Carl; her Parents, Richard and Mary; two brothers: Benjamin and Alvin; and two sisters: Eulah Miligan and Annie Jackson.
Yvonne leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Jermel (Joyce) and Dennis (Ginell); two stepchildren, Carlton (Kim) and Linda Mullins; sister Mary Guinyard; and Brother, Lennie Guinyard. Four sisters-in-law (Mae (Nc), Marion (Ny), Marlyn (NY), Kate (NC); three brothers-in-law Alonzo (Slim) (Annie ) Jackson (DE), Winford (NC), Harry Lee (TN); who all loved her and will miss her dearly. Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren: JaNay, Jaliyah, Sharmaine, Tha’Keea, Shalaine, Sianne, Tanisha, Brittany, Luis, Quincy, Donnie, Eric, Antoine, Carlton Jr., and Kevin; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
