James, GloriaHeaven has gained an angel. Gloria James, 64, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in Stratford, Connecticut. She was born on October 1, 1952 to Leonard and Annie Berry in Mandeville, Jamaica W.I.Gloria was a member of Holy Ghost Deliverance Cathedral where she was ordained a 'Mother' of the church. She worked at People's United Bank, Main Street, Bridgeport for almost thirty years and retired in 2015. She also worked part-time at Gardner Heights in Shelton. She enjoyed traveling to her home country to attend Jamaica Free Baptist yearly convention where she is loved for her love of the ministry.Survivors include her mother, Annie; her two sons, Dwight and John James of Stratford, CT; two grandchildren, John Jr. and Dwight; one daughter-in-law, Nakia; four sisters and one brother; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.She was predeceased by her husband, John; her dad, Leonard; and one sister, Veronica.Viewing and service will take place at Holy Ghost Deliverance Cathedral, 705 Arctic Street, Bridgeport, CT on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
