Geraldine Gray, a beloved resident of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on April 30th, 2023, at the age of 73. Born on January 1st, 1950, Geraldine lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless unforgettable memories.

Geraldine was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian Gray, and was the eldest of three siblings. She grew up in Augusta, attended local schools, and eventually attended Georgia State University, where she graduated in 1972 with a degree in Business Management.

Geraldine was a career-oriented woman who spent most of her working life in the financial sector. She was a dedicated employee of First National Bank for over 30 years, where she held a number of management positions, and was always dedicated to providing exemplary customer service to her clients.

Despite her busy work schedule, Geraldine never let her career get in the way of her passions. She was an avid gardener, and spent countless hours tending to her beloved flower and vegetable beds. She was also a passionate cook, and loved to entertain family and friends with her delicious meals.

Geraldine was a kind, compassionate person who had a heart of gold. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and had a talent for brightening up even the darkest of days with her infectious smile and warm personality.

Throughout her life, Geraldine was blessed with many loving relationships. She was married to her husband, James, for 43 years, until his passing in 2015. Together, they were the proud parents of two children, Mark and Lisa.

Geraldine was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her family was the center of her world. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was always there to support them through life's ups and downs.

Geraldine will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and kind spirit touched the lives of so many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A celebration of Geraldine's life will be held on Saturday, May 6th, at the First Baptist Church of Augusta, where she was a longtime member. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
