George Elwood Marshall, transitioned peacefully from this earthly life to eternal rest on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Doctors Hospital of, Augusta Georgia. He was born on June 10, 1960 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Elwood and Thelma Marshall.George's childhood began in Georgia, where he attended school at St. Paul United Methodist Church. He worked in the Plant Operator industry with Airgas of Augusta, Georgia. He later moved to Hyattsville, Maryland. He was a Supervisor of Janitorial Services at the University of Maryland College Park, and Supervisor of Janitorial Services at TGIFriday's. He later found a passion for detailing cars and worked for Lincoln Mercury DAR cars in Marlo Heights, Maryland, and Y2K used cars in Beltsville, Maryland. He also did small jobs with his friend, the late William Stanley.We can all rejoice in knowing that He accepted Christ as his personal savior. George attended Metropolitian A.M.E. Zion Church in Washington, D.C. He was kind, humble, giving and had a smile that could light up a room. He never met stranger.
George's life and legacy live on with: his wife of (26) years, Veronica; children, Melinda Marshall (Collick) of Clarksville, Tennesse, Adrienne Marshall (Bishop) of Newport News, Virginia, Jason Marshall, Eboni Marshall of Augusta, Georgia, Emmanuel Marshall of Hyattsville, Maryland; seven grandchildren and one great grandson, his sisters Betty Marshall of Silvers Spring, Maryland and Larry Marshall of Memphis, Tennesse as well as several nieces, and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
