George Beatty , 85, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed on August 27, 2022. George was born on February 22,1937.

he attended elementary school in charlotte and later moved to Massachusetts where he continued his education in the Boston public school system. in the mid 1950s "brother" as he was affectionarely called became a member of a very popular r&b group known throughout the New England region as imperis. He sang and toured with the group for 10 years, with performances in supper club, rock a bye club and footguard in Hartford, Connecticut, the famous continental club in New York City and locally at Louie's shanty's and basin street south to name just a few. his tenor voice will long be remembered.
 

In his later years, he worked as a roofer, painter and a carpenter, although without any formal training. he loved building construction and could build from the ground up he will greatly missed.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, jacquline Beatty; His Children Yolanda, Joy, Tanika his cherished grandchildren His beloved grandson Dominique, Anthony, Shamonique, Marquisha, Tenillie, Merce, Jaden, Mara. He leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
