Frederick Morrison Facey was born on September 1, 1933, in Kingston, Jamaica. Fred was the first born to Leslie and Mamzelle Facey. Fred was blessed with three younger siblings: Audrine, Careda, and Tonya.

Fred received his early education at Rollington Town Primary School and Ardenne High School. He attended Ardenne High School for four years and was both the scholar and an incredible athlete. After graduating in 1951, he began working for the Surrey County Fire Department and was employed there for 17 years. In 1955, Fred met his first wife, Mary Turner, who he had 5 lovely children with Kevin Facey, Dexter Facey, Audrey Robb, Jennifer Facey, and Dawn Robb.  

In 1968, Fred and Mary divorced and Fred moved to Hamilton, Ontario, to start a new life. He would soon meet his recent wife, Yvette Facey, a humble Jamaican woman, who also moved to Canada from Jamaica for better opportunities. They have been together for 46 years and married for 41 years, sharing 2 lovely children: Jermaine and Deneisha Facey. Fred and Yvette both worked in Finance for Assante Capital Management for over 20 years until he retired in October 1998. In his last years, Fred spent his time making memories with his family and friends and always making time to visit his hometown in Jamaica.

If you knew Fred you would know that he loved to travel and he loved the water - being at the beach or jamming to his music on the pier. You also know that he could make the best stew peas and rice and a mean jug of Sorrel. He was truly a blessing and to know him is to love him.
