Evelyn "Peggy" Fleming WatersClarksville, TNEvelyn "Peggy" Fleming Waters, 91, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.Peggy was born on August 5, 1925, in Howell, KY to the late William Thomas Fleming and Carrie Hammon Fleming. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles McManus Waters and nine siblings, Louise F. Tutt, William Fleming, C.K. Fleming, Scott Fleming, Josephine F. Davie Stroube, Lillian F. Howell, Annie Laurie F. Northern, Lloyd Elliott Fleming, and Elmer Haynes "Toby" Fleming.Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1324 Gholson Road, Clarksville, TN 37043, with Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home and Saturday, February 11, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.Peggy was a longtime active member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was a retired secretary, having worked at Austin Peay State University, Madison Street United Methodist Church, and Clarksville District United Methodist Church. She was a member of Progressive Study Club, United Methodist Women, and Country Women's Club.Peggy is survived by two daughters, Valerie (James) Lavery and Melanie (Paul) Gardner; four grandchildren, Lindsey (Justin) Waugh, Shelby (Alex) Pinkston, Carrie Lavery, and Elliott Lavery; and three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Waugh, Hannah Grace Waugh, and Maclaine Pinkston.Pallbearers will be Jim Lavery, Elliott Lavery, Alex Pinkston, Justin Waugh, Bobby Reed, Kurt Bryant, Ed Swaffer, and Mont Davie.
