Evelyn Ann Campbell, 74, resident of Spokane, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Holy Family Hospital, Spokane, WA. Evelyn was born on March 27, 1942, in Chewelah, WA to Lawrence and Theresa Wissink. Upon graduating from Chewelah high school in 1960 she married Monte Leo Monroe with whom she had two children, Jeff Monroe and Terri Coleman. Evelyn subsequently married Dan Davis of Chewelah, and then Tom Edwards in 1970 who pre-deceased her in December, 2002. Evelyn lived in the Moscow, ID region for over 30 years and moved to Spokane in 2004 where she met and married her current husband, Richard Campbell in 2009. Evelyn was a long-time Washington State University employee, where she worked from 1972 to 1998 when she retired. While at the university Evelyn worked for several departments including Financial Aid, Music, College of Agriculture, VCAPP, Facilities Operations, Natural Resource Sciences, and Athletics. She was an enthusiastic Cougar football fan, enjoyed gardening, and had a strong interest in politics. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Rich Campbell, son, Jeff (and Ann) Monroe of Pullman, a daughter, Terri Brandt (and Dan Coleman) of Bothell, WA, as well as six grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her brother Don (and Joan) Wissink, sister Jan Meier, and step-children Bill Edwards, and Kasey Anderson, and their children and grandchildren. Memorial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
