A Memorial Service will be held at the Granbury Church of Christ, Granbury, TX on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 1:30PM. Memorials: In lieu of flowers Gene's memory may be honored with a donation to Foster's Home for Children, PO Box 978, Stephenville, TX 76401. Foster Home is very dear to Gene as he retired after 19 years of dedicated service to youth. Gene was born on December 15, 1937 in Dallas, Texas. He dedicated his life to his family and friends and working with children in Christian Child Care. Gene was preceded in death by 37 days, by his beloved wife, Charmaine Boone of 58 years. Survivors: Children, son Larry and wife Karla Boone of Allen, TX, son James and his wife Teri of Abilene, TX, daughter Jennifer Bray, Stephenville, TX. His grandchildren, Brittany Forrester and husband Cody, Kelsey Ishmael and husband Ryan, Carson Boone and fiance;e, Addison Fratt, Ashlee Boone, Cade & Brazes Bray. Great Grands Trenton Forrester, Riley Rue Forrester & River Ryan Ishmael. One sister Joyce Smith. Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Rick and Susie Erickson. Extended family and countless friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Edgar & Flora Boone.Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather and Great grandfather & brother. He will be remembered for his charitable work and selfless sharing of his life.
