Ethel RowsellJanuary 13, 1922 - February 6, 2013Soda Springs - Ethel Iona Croney Rowsell, 91, of Soda Springs passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center.Ethel was born on January 13, 1922 in Bancroft, Idaho the daughter of Moses and Lois Elzira Rawlins Croney.She was born and raised in Pebble area and moved to Lava Hot Springs where she went to high school and was one of the "Top" students. Ethel married Willis Rowsell on October 27, 1941 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Willis passed away on May 17, 2005.After they were married they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for a short time. While Willis was in the military she moved back to Lava Hot Springs. They lived on a ranch in Raymond, ID for 17 years until they sold the ranch and moved to Grace, Idaho in 1961. She moved to Soda Springs in 2005.Ethel was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in the Ward Primary, Sunday School, Relief Society and Stake MIA. She was the first "Winter Branch" Relief Society president in St. George, Utah.She worked at the Lowe Drug, which turned in to London Drug for about 20 years.Ethel loved to crochet and had made an afghan for each child and grandchild. She also loved to travel and did so as often as possible.She is survived by one son, Lynn and Janeen Rowsell of Winnebago, USA (wintering in Las Vegas, NV), and one daughter Kathleen and Curtis White of Soda Springs, ID. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was precede in death by her husband Willis, a son, Brent Rowsell, a daughter Sheila Burton, and 6 sisters and 1 brother.Services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Monday Morning from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services.
