Edward James Sziabowski Sr, 73, lifelong resident of New Britain, passed away on February 1, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by his family . He was born on July 8, 1943, in Gulfport, MS, a son of the late Edward and Catherine (Hamilton) Sziabowski. He attended local schools in New Britain. Edward is survived by his 4 sons; Edward Sziabowski Jr. and his fiancée Nitza Sanchez of Avon, Marc Sziabowski of New Britain, Jason Sziabowski and his fiancée Denise Rodriquez of New Britain, Justin Sziabowski and his wife Diana of West Hartford, 3 daughters; Jamie Rheaume of Hartford, Nicole Sziabowski of New Britain and Valerie Sziabowski of Colorado. He will also be missed by his 3 brothers; Paul Sziabowski of New Britain, David Sziabowski Sr. of Bristol and James Sziabowski of Middletown, 2 sisters; Linda Dufini and her husband Edward of Bristol, and Catherine Sziabowski of New Britain, grandchildren; Briana, Ian, Gian, Anthony, Madelyn, Allison, Theodore, Isla, Keely, Armani and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edward is predeceased by his brothers Mark & Constant Sziabowski and sister Nancy Conley. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 9am at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Cross Church, New Britain.
