Raymond met the love of his life, Maxine Petersen, at a sleigh-riding party. The two were married in the Logan Utah LDS Temple on March 21st, 1941. Three boys were born to this union: Joseph Raymond (Lynda) of St. George, Utah, Ernest Spence (Deborah) currently serving in the Kirkland Ohio Historic Sites Mission, and Henry Scott (Christine) of Rupert, Idaho. They shared 57 wonderful years together, until Maxine passed away in 1998. Raymond later married Helen Hansen. She was a companion and great blessing in his life for 13 years. After several rewarding years, they sold Downata and moved to Logan, Utah where he worked in real estate and then for Job Service/Utah until his retirement. Raymond and Maxine served as Ordinance Workers in the Logan Temple for many years, which was a very special calling to both of them.
