Donna Jean HesselbartMAUMEE: Donna Jean Hesselbart, 76, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, Ohio. She was born on August 25, 1940 to the late Albert and Loyola Gschwind. She graduated from St. Joseph in Fremont, Ohio. In 1962, Donna married Frank "Sonny" Hesselbart. She started her career in banking at Fremont Savings bank and ended her 30-year banking career as branch manager of Huntington Bank in Perrysburg, Ohio. Donna dedicated her life to serving others. An accomplished baker, her friends and family always looked forward to the immense variety of Christmas cookies she baked. Every year, she spent hours upon hours baking and decorating cookies to give away to her friends, neighbors, and family. One of her favorite pastimes was working outside in her beautiful flower and hardy vegetable gardens. The flowers in her yard always displayed a spectacular array of color. Donna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cheryl Silverhart, four grandchildren; Nathan, Nicole, Matthew and Jared, sister, Marilyn Wasserman, and niece, Melissa Wasserman.She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Marvin Wasserman. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Keller-Koch- Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio,43420. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 709 Croghan Street, in Fremont on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
