DONALD LEE WEAVER, 81, of Huntington, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Woodmere Memorial Park by Pastor Robert Withers. Donald was an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a veteran of the US Marine Corps, having served in the Korean War. A life member of the and VFW. Donald loved to build model airplanes and was a trumpeter and played swing music with his own band. He also played in The Marine Corps Band. Donald was born on July 5, 1935, in Pineville, W.Va., the son of the late Ambrose and Eleanor Cook Weaver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Fox Weaver, daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Jackie Bird, son, Donald Lee Weaver II, grandchildren, Lori and Melissa Chinn, great-grandchildren, Tanner Sellards and Lexi Chinn, and one brother, Dennis Weaver, all of Huntington.
