Don LopezMemphis, tnDon Lopez, age 82, passed away in his home after a long illness on Saturday, September 23, 2017. He was born on September 1, 1935 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Charles and Marguerite Lopez. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bettye Pierini Lopez. He was a very kind, generous and loving husband, father and grandfather. He always reached out to help someone in need. Don is survived by his three children, Leigh Myers (Tim), Don J. Lopez, and Teresa Young all of Memphis. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He retired from Kellogg's Memphis Plant after 35 years of service. The family would like to express their gratitude to all our family, friends and Dr. Douglas O'Dea and staff for making their Dad's last several months comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you do something kind for someone less fortunate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, September 26 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 27 at St. Ann Catholic Church in St. Joachim Chapel, 6529 Stage Rd, Bartlett. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
