Develle Niqwan Robinson Obituary

May 05, 1983 - Mar 29, 2020

This obituary is administered by:

Develle (Coop) Robinson was a Devoted Husband, a loving Father, a Big Brother and a Beloved Son

Develle Niqwan Robinson was born to Colleen and Michael Robinson on May 5, 1983, in Detroit,

Michigan, and was the first of two children born of this union.

After graduating from the Academy of Oak Park High School, he went on to continue his education

at Northwestern Technological Institute. On May 23, 2009, he was united in marriage to the love of his

life, Sandra Blanding. The two had three beautiful daughters, Jayla, Samaya, and Alauna.

Most knew Develle by his nickname Coop, but his family called him Motor, a name coined by his

uncle, Wendell Essex, due to Develle’s love for cars and big bass sound systems. He loved to ride around

in his truck, his radio-loud, with the bass blasting everything from Motown oldies to his favorite hip-hop

songs.

Develle was a people person and loved to impart his urban words of wisdom and

encouragement to anyone that needed them. From Detroit, Michigan all the way to Seymour, Indiana,

Develle was a big brother, mentor, and friend to the many people that would encounter him.

Along with being a beloved son and brother, Develle was a devoted husband and loving father,

who was passionate about his wife and daughters. He took them on family adventures, whether to the

trampoline park, state fairs or swimming. He wanted to make sure that he maximized his family’s quality

time and that his girls always had a smile on their faces. Develle was both a provider and protector and

would become very confrontational when it came to his children and family, but it was just a display of

his papa bear nature.

Develle was introduced to the Lord at an early age, attending church with his beloved

grandmother at St. Matthew A.M.E. Church. Later in life, Develle’s home church was Evangel Ministries,

though he frequently loved to attend Restoration of Faith and Fellowship’s biweekly Men’s Saturday

Ministry. Develle wasn’t a perfect man nor did he proclaim perfection, but his hope every day was to

become a better version of himself.

Develle transitioned his earthly life to be with his lord and savior on Sunday, March 29th.

Develle leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Sandra, three daughters, Jayla; Samya; and Aluana.  Mother, Colleen Robinson; Father, Michael Robinson; Brother Aaron Robinson; Uncle Wendell Essex; Mother in Law, Tina Blanding; Father in Law, Raymond  Blanding Sr; two brothers in law, Tyree Blanding, Raymond Blanding jr; two sisters in law, Melissa Blanding, Tiara Thompson ; one nephew Tristan Blanding. God parents, Constance and Brian Compeau and a host of cousins, family and friends.

From Aaron,

Yelp, big bro you know it was never our style to get all sappy and such things but one thing we always did was let each other know how proud we were of each other, and I want to let you know that I was and always will be proud of you big dog! You conquered so many obstacles and broke down so many boundaries all to be just a good man like you would always said you were striving to be, and bro I know you felt some type of way about things in life but I wanna let you know that you were just that! A good man. No, you didn't say everything properly and no you didn't do everything right but the things you did do was make every day of life count and you let the people you loved know that they were loved. I'm going to honor you, big guy,  forever and make sure that I am making you proud. In my deeds I'll remember you, in the way I love my wife, I'll remember you, In the way, I care for my children, I'll remember you, In the way, I take care of Mom I'll remember and in the way, I serve My God I'll remember you. Love you Big Dog always!  O yea I guess you wasn't ready for the smoke in 2k but I swear if heaven has PlayStations it's on.......

From Mom,

Develle who I affectionally called 1 st born, never thought I would be writing this because a parent is not supposed to bury their child. You were taken away too soon. There’s so much I will miss about you, from you annoying me by calling me “Colleen” to us talking about our favorite TV Show “Power”. You had a wit about you that kept me constantly laughing. I know you are in your grandmother’s bosom content

and happy to be reunited with her. I take solace that you are flying high and now I have another angel

looking after me! Until we meet again my 1 st born son. Mommy Loves you!

You can to the family or in memory of Develle Robinson.
