Delores Darlene Benton (DeeDee) 56, passed on May 06, 2021. She was born to Robert L. Lawrence Sr. and Sara E. Dunnigan in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 06, 1964.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Dunnigan; daughter Sara Lawrence; sufficient other of 20 years Gregory Johnson.

DeeDee is survived by her beloved sufficient other Desmond Hughes of 13 years and beloved children, LeeAnne Benton (Grego ry Brown), Gregory Ishmael Johnson; step-daughters Quatitan Dean, Toya Holston; grandchildren, Tishaona Dean, Seairra Beasley, Erick Beasley Jr, Justin Beasley, Mary Boyer, Kemyah Sanders, Vision Lawrence, Kelijahna Sanders, Jeremiah Sanders, Sara Brown, Saniah Brown, Golden Johnson, Ivy Brown-Johnson; siblings, Robert (Tracy) Lawrence, Susan (Marcus) Adkins, Thomas (Darlene) Lawrence, Samuel (Kimberly) Pettis, Michael (Amanda) Pettis; host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

DeeDee accpeted Christ as her savior at an early age, she was baptized at the age of 12 at President Drive Church of Christ. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1982. She married high school sweet-heart Robert Benton right out of high school. DeeDee met Gregory in 1985, they raised Sara, LeeAnne, and Ishmael until his pasting in 2006. They were together 21 years. She rededicated her life to Christ in 2007 after the lost of her daugther Sara. In 2008, she met Desmond and spent the last 13 years with best friend. They enjoyed cooking, riding bikes, and spending time with the grand-kids. DeeDee loved her chihuahuas Bandit & Lacey. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble, dominos, and spades. DeeDee HATED to lose, she was passionate in winning at all cost. She had a good heart and was loyal to the people she loved.

She LOVED her family dearly, they were her life!
