Dean GeiserOjai, CADean Geiser passed away suddenly in his sleep on the morning of February 19, 2017. He was born on December 25,1953 in Almont, Michigan to Joseph and Mary Jane (Muir) Geiser. A graduate from Almont High School, Dean studied to become a pharmacist attending Oakland and Wayne State Universities and interning at Saint Joseph's hospital in Pontiac, Michigan where he met his future wife and soulmate Cheryl Terhall. They married in July 1981, and eventually settled in Ojai, California, where they owned and operated the Medicine Shoppe of Ojai for 18 years and raised their two children. Dean worked part time at the Medicine Shoppe even after selling the business until his retirement in May 2015. His earliest business venture was becoming the youngest boy at the time to be selected to hold a paper route for the Port Huron Times Herald which he did for several years. He also worked as an announcer for the Almont High School Football games, calling plays in a style intended to generate excitement for the home team no matter the score. His love of sports continued throughout his life. He was an avid reader and stereophile with a special affinity for true crime thrillers and classic rock. He was also known for his dry sense of humor, often proclaiming "if we can't kid each other, who can we kid?"He treasured his family and is survived by his wife Cheryl, son Justin, daughter Jessie, mother Mary Jane, three sisters Nancy Baruch, Linda (Russ) Renaud and Jane (Mark) Summers, several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Mass will be held at St Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, March 4th at 2:00PM followed by a reception at the hall. Arrangements are under the direction of JOSEPH P.
