Cory Maxson, 66, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed on June 08, 2006. Cory was born on April 08, 1940. The Son of Rose and Troy Maxson has a half-brother name Lyon and an uncle named Gabriel he grew up in a working-class African American Family he also worked as a cashier in his teens years at the A&P Supermarket while going to high school and getting excellent grades with some honors and playing football he helps around the community when he can and is seen as a respectful son, compassionate nephew to his disabled Uncle Gabriel, who he spends times with and talks with and helps out whenever he can and generally,

His mother rose who he respects and loves a lot and helps out when he can when he's not in school or playing football and has a better relationship with than his father troy and has a solid and good relationship with his half-brother Lyon who he cares about as well but is rarely present or seen in cory life. Cory is seen as a giving and enthusiastic person. An ambitious young man who has the talent and determination to realize his dreams and trying to achieve his dream of making it to the NFL and find a way to get out of poverty and do something that many people can't do

Sometime around in 1957 Cory meets and is in talks with a recruiter from the University of North Carolina football coach Zellman and talking about getting a full-ride scholarship to play football in North Carolina. But instead of this happening his dreams of playing football are crushed when his father tells the recruiter Zellman that ¨Cory had no longer interested in playing football and that Cory wants to get a real job¨ in a trade and not be idealistic like his half-brother lyon this would lead to cory and his father to have a bad and broken father-son relationship and though a year cory would work and finish up high school and go to prom and enjoy the remainder of his senior year and one day while going home he gets into a physical conflict with his father who is drunk and they fight and this leads to high tension with his father leading to troy kicking him out of his house and this leads to cory to lead and to make a life decision on what he supposed to do next and how to fend for himself and eventually Cory finishes the rest of his senior year than he enlists to the marines corps and does an 8-year tenure in the marines.

Cory now is 25 and a corporal in the United States Marines Corps and returns to his family home in Pittsburgh PA to go his father funeral where he is met with his father friend Mr Bono who he knew since he was young and had a great relationship with and bono was troy true and only real friend that stuck with him until the end and he gets to meet his younger sister now shes grew and is 7 years old but she doesn't have the much of memories with cory since he left to the marines when she was just a couple of months old and cory sees his brother lyon again and they talk and talk about there father and how he was treated growing up but there father did this so he can shape them to have a better future or density for them and later on his uncle gabriel is let out of the hospital to go to the funeral of his brother troy and after talking with his mother rose cory is reluctant ,and rebel to attend his father funeral but his mother rose convices him to go and that not going will not make him a man a better person and cory realizes this and put his differences aside and forgives his father.

Cory goes to his father's funeral and forgives his father Cory's mother rose passed away later on in 1982 due to health issues and his younger sister Raynell becomes a successful businesswoman and lives a calm and free life uncle Gabriel is now older but doing well is let free out of the hospital where they kept for a couple of years now lives with cory and is treated with some medication and has a care nurse lives until he passes away in 1984 due to old age and his for lyon he eventually went on to become a successful artist in music with a band and Mr bono passes away in 1974 but before passing way, he talks with cory here and there and gives cory advice on life and steps in as a father figure for cory.

Cory continued to serve in the marines corps doing about 21 years of active service and even fought in the Vietnam war doing two tours and was out there for about 1 year and a half cory went on to travel to many places and was stationed in Japan, South Korea, Germany, and France, for his duty cory eventually found and met the love of his life and went on to have 3 children two boys and a daughter named Cory Jr, Gabe, Daisy and moved to California for a couple of years, worked hard for his family cory retires from active service in 1978 and spent his time helping raise his family and moved his family back to Pittsburgh PA From California to retire at and he bought his father, mother home and he fixed it up and remodeled it and made it look like new cory still remembers the memories that have occurred in this house and the outside of the backyard the bat and baseball of troy still there.

The remainder of his years of life, cory spend his free time helping his community out in many ways he can and became a well-known member of his community where everyone liked and loved him he helped many kids achieve their dreams and encouraged them to do better and greater things and set a future for themselves and in his free time when he was not helping out the community Cory was an active coach for the local high school for baseball and football winning many championships as a coach and doing what he loved he will always be remembered in our hearts and loved for his character and personality as a person who was compassionate and loving we honor and salute this veteran who will be buried with military honors at the Philadelphia National Cemetary for an important person of this community who will always treasure his advice and encouraging words.
