Clifton Revell Murphy, (affectionately known as Lil Cliff), was born in Richmond, VA on July 29, 1991 to the late Clifton Wyche and Daphne Murphy.
A Time to Live
Cliff was educated in the Richmond public school system and graduated from John Marshall High School in 2009. He gave his life to Christ at an early age, attending Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, where he participated in the youth choir.
At the age of 4, Cliff expressed his interest in sports, especially football. From the age of 8 -11, he played football for Battery Park (Barton Heights Ballers). During his football years, he met two coaches who were influential in his early life and would become lifelong mentors- Coach Jermaine O'Neil and Coach Gaither Beard. After football, Cliff went on to play recreational baseball and basketball, where he shined as a star athlete. Cliff was known for his sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh and was always ready with a witty and humorous response in just about any situation.
His pride and joy were his two beautiful daughters.
A Time to Transition
Clifton Revell Murphy began his heavenly journey on March 15, 2023, at the young age of 31. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifton R. Wyche, stepfather Timothy Harris, III; and maternal great-grandmother Lucy T. Robinson. He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his beloved mother, Daphne Murphy, brother Andre Orange (Diamondnique), two loving daughters De'Maiya Brown, Nilah Murphy, and special daughter Promise Brown. Devoted fiance'; Tiana Turner, Bonus Parents Michael Dewitt and Tanisha Young, aunts; Keisha Murphy; uncle; Courtney Murphy (Mary) and a host of devoted in-laws, cousins, god-siblings, relatives, and friends, among them devoted friends, Randy Taylor, Kaynard Pryor, and his boys "The Barton Heights Ballers".
