Christy Lynn Espinosa, 49Christy Lynn Espinosa, 49, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 6:06 p.m. at St. Elizabeth East. Christy was born on March 9, 1964 in Lafayette to Robert W. Beall (Ruth) of Ft. Wayne, and Nancy "Suzie" Harlow Bartlow (Dirk) of Delphi, and they survive. Christy graduated from Harrison High School in 1982. She married the late Gilberto Espinosa Sr. on August 12, 1985 and although they later divorced they remained close friends. She worked at Landis & Gyr for a year and as a CNA for several years. Christy was a Peer to Peer Mentor with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, loved frogs, and was known as "Krazy Kermit." She also was an avid reader, and loved knowledge and books.Surviving are four children, Natiera Espinosa, Lewis Espinosa, Makiah Espinosa, and Makayla Espinosa. Also surviving are three siblings, Scott Beall of Lafayette, Shelley (John) Bowlin of Delphi, and Kelly Beall of Lakeland, FL, and one grandchild, Gilberto Espinosa III. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one half hour prior to the service at Simplicity Funeral Care with Pastor Ken Smith officiating.
