After a brief illness Charlie E. Blackmon Passed away on July 10, 2020. He will be sadly missed by his entire family. 

Born to the late Otis O and Lillie Blackmon, he was the youngest of 14 children. Raised in Church Charlie gave his life to the Lord. He got saved at age 12 and never lost his faith or religion. He joined Mt. Zion Baptize Church in Oxford Mississippi and remained a member til his passing. This is where he met and fell in love with his first wife Inez Russell, married  young they birth 7 children. Which resulted in an early death for Inez. Charlie soon met Cara Lee and fell in love. The two were married and together they birth 10 children. Cara Lee would passed at an early age also.

Charlie was a share cropper owning his own family farm that he inherited. He worked on his farm plowing and other chores til 2010 when he first got ill. Never missing a morning til then. It was only then that Charlie saw other parts of the world staying with different family members. He's last and final stop was on Rochester New York.

Charlie was preceded in death by his 2 wifes,his parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. He had 7 children pass before him including 3 sons, Willie James, Sonny Lee and Webster Blackmon. 4 daughters including Odell Mccants, Harriett Kemp, Erma Neil and Trudy Blackmon.

He leaves to mourn his death 6daughters; Geraldine(Kevin) of California, Lois Ann (Calvin) Brown, Wanda Johnson both of Oxford, Mississippi. Emma Turner of Michigan. Rubynell(Johnnie Lee)Smith and Glenda Faye Blackmon both of Jackson, Mississippi. 4 sons Eugene Ackmon of Indiana. Robert (Rose) Blackmon of Oxford Mississippi. Frankie Lee(Shirley) Blackmon of Memphis. Sherman Blackmon also of Oxford, Mississippi. 2 daughter-in-law Hazel(Sonny Lee)Blackmon of California and Mamie(Webster) Blackmon of Webster, New York. 90 grandchildren, 110 great grand children and several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Charlie will be flown back to his hometown to be buried on the family lot. His funeral service will be held Friday July 17, 2020 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 3 PM.
