Nov 01, 2016 - Jul 08, 2015

This obituary is administered by:
Charles "Chuck" Schrieber of East Tawas, formerly of Allen Park, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his home under the loving care of his family and hospice at the age of 65.Chuck was born on Nov. 4, 1949 in Detroit to Floyd and Rose Schrieber. He graduated from St. Patrick High School in Wyandotte and worked 34 years at Cyntell Tool as a tool and die maker. He retired in 2005 to spend time doing the activities he enjoyed, like fishing for any and all species of fish, wood working, reading, and just spending relaxing time on his boat on the lake. He was a member of the Tawas Lake Property Association and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas. Chuck married his wife and best friend, Beverly Schrieber, in Allen Park on Nov. 7, 1974. Together they celebrated 40 beautiful years of marriage. Chuck is survived by his wife, Beverly; one sister, Connie Schrieber and her husband Eric Bankhead; one brother-in-law, Barry Kamasky and his wife Mary Ann; niece, Lori Andrews and her husband Josh, and their children Peyton and Ben; and niece, Shannon Bankhead. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Rose Schrieber. Chuck fished on Tawas Lake starting when he was nine years old. His dream was to some day retire on the lake so he could fish when he wanted. He was able to do that until his passing. He couldn't fish the last few years, but he could look out over the lake everyday and watch the birds, eagle and geese enjoy their fishing. A funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, July 13 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas with Father Charles Donajkowski officiating. His family will welcome friends for visitation at the church Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass. Cremation will follow the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the Hospice of Michigan, 400 Mack Ave., Detroit, MI 48201. Funeral arrangements are by Buresh Funeral Home of Tawas City. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
