Charles 'DOC' Washington, 56, of Boston, Massachusetts, Passed Away Monday May 11, 2020 due to a battle with Covid19. Charles was born April 17, 1964 to The late Eva McGhee Braxton and Aaron Washington Sr. Charles was a native of Brooklyn New York moved to Birmingham, Al at young age. He attended the Birmingham Public school system where he attended F.D. McArthur Elementary and John Herbert Phillips High School. Later he joined the United States Army where he got his name nickname 'DOC'. Charles 'DOC' Washington was a Paratrooper for the 82nd Airbourne Infantry Division. After retiring from the military Charles travel several different States until he finally decided to resided in Boston Massachusettes. He was proceeded in death by his Parents;Eva McGhee Braxton; Aaron Washington Sr. Two siblings; Ms. Lorraine Washington and Valerie Washington. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Shero Ndunga of three years, One daughter Shantia Washington of Lowell, MA, Sisters Eva Rutledge; Sabrina(Neal)Morgan Sr.;Brother Corteilus(Jennifer)Braxton all of Birmingham,Al. Charles was survived by his half siblings Sisters Janice Drayton of Sparkenburg, NC; Denise Tinsdale of Brooklyn NewYork,Alexis Luke of Willboro New Jersey,and Angeline Phillips of Brooklyn New York, Two brothers Aaron Washington ll Brooklyn, NewYork and Kenneth Washington of Massachusettes. Charles was a loving uncle to two nephews Neal Morgan Jr.; and Mr. Evan Braxton;Three nieces Nekida'Gabby'(Omar) Flowers;Keona G.Rutledge, Jai T. Rutledge and one Great nephew Byron D. Abrams Jr. all of Birmingham, Al. He will fondly be remembered by a host of Aunt, Uncles, cousins and friends. Charles loved to help people such as other retired Veterans to nursing homes. and he loved being a Mason. November 29,2016 he was initiated, Passed on March 21,2017 and Raised on May 16,2017 with Level Lodge. Brother Washington earned the Master Rookie Award from Level Lodge in Shrewsbury, Massachusettes where he earned Master Mason Rookie Award. The Master Mason Rookie Award is presented to a Brother who completes a series of tasks within one year of his Raising that shows commitment and dedication to the craft. Charles joined Major General Henry Knox Lodge October 25,2017 and was welcomed into their unique Lodge of Military Veterans. In 2018 he went through the three Bodies of the York Rite which lead him to be Knighted as Knights Templar. He was VERY PROUD to be a Mason and all the fond memories he made with all his Masonic brothers.
