Chandler Brown, 28, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed on May 01, 2021. Chandler was born on May 10, 1992 in Utica, the daughter of John and Louise (Crater) Brown. She attended Clinton schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 2008, where she was a member of the student council and the basketball team. She was currently enrolled at Mohawk Valley Community College majoring in computer science.
Chandler was a member of the Order of the Eagle of the Boy Scouts of America and had been a member of Troop 52. She achieved her Eagle rank upon completion of a project that restored several damaged headstones in the historic old Clinton Cemetery in 2006. She attended Grace Episcopal Church in Clinton.
Travis is survived by her parents John and Louise of Clinton; her brother Chad and her sister Karen, both at home. She also leaves her maternal grandparents, Harold and Gladys Crater, also of Clinton; and her paternal grandparents, Philip and Betty Turner of Indianapolis. She is also survived by her girlfriend, Kristen Porter of Clinton and her close friends Jacob Hart of New Harford and Zachary Taylor of Clinton and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Dimbleby Funeral Home in Clinton. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30a.m. at the funeral home and at 10am at Grace Episcopal Church in Clinton. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the M.A.D.D. (Mother's Against Drunk Driving) program at Clinton High School. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and can also be mailed to M.A.D.D., c/o Guidance Department, Clinton High School, 24 Waverly Street, Clinton 13323.
