Carlton was the second oldest child of Vanessa Mayham. He was given the nickname “Tank" because when he was a baby in his roller he would knock over anything in his way. He loved sports and reading and became an advocate for helping the youth of the inner city where he was from.

He loved his only son and was close with his siblings. He’s survived by his son, Laraun; mother, Vanessa; his father, Johnny; his oldest brother and best friend, Cory (Mayham); brothers, Rodney Meece, Edward Meece and Walter Perkins; baby sister, Brianna Meece. He is also survived by four nieces, four nephews, aunts, Jackie, Lynda and Dee; uncle, Johnny; cousins and countless friends.

Carlton is preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Willie Mae Falls.
