Carlos Eugene Cooper was born September 3, 1971 to Sunnie Collo Cooper and Dorothy Mae Bazemore Jackson in Washington DC.
As a child Carlos loved to always smile and carry his basket ball, which was a hobby that carried out til his last breath. He attended Ballou High school and when he turned 18 he enlisted in the Army, which he later discovered that definitely was not his calling. He got on his own continuing to be a hard worker, always striving to make a better life for himself and his family.
He later met and married his heart, Deborah Lathan of 23 yrs., her three children TINESHA, his oldest Troy, the middle and, Britney our youngest. He stepped in and never looked back since we said " DO". Carlos definitely loved God, his wife, mother and siblings. In his presence he brought kindness laughter and forgiveness. He was a prime example of Love, Loyalty and Forgiveness.
He attended The Citadel in Jacksonville Florida with Bishop Terri Hill and First Lady Kim, where they took leadership. Carlos' wife and family resides in Jacksonville for the past eleven years where they built their lovely nest.
Carlos will truly be missed. He had great mentoring skills and loved the youth. His favorite sports team was the Dallas Cowboys. Never understood because we never been there.
He always was willing to help another human being on any level.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Deborah Cooper whom he has known for 26 years; mother, Dorothy Bazemore Jackson; His brothers, Michael and Anthony; sisters, Dorothy Jackson, Antoinette Jackson, Lynn Alfred and his big sister in law, Valarie Williams; three step kids, Tinesha, Troy, and Britney; Grandchildren, Starr, Antwon, Alajah, Andre, Messiah, Nylah, Tristan, Jessiah, Levi and Chasidy; Nieces, Portia, Ulen, Tamia Cooper, Desiree, Dorothy Jackson the 3rd; nephews Lefranz, D Carlos Jevonte, Jay Vion, J Anthony Kamari Jhakari Jackson and a host of cousins and friends.
