Carl W. BrownJackson, TNCarl W. Brown, age 91, died on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the West Tennessee State Veterans Home.A native of Crockett County, TN, he was born on March 1, 1926 the son of the late E. C. and Eddie Irene Lovell Brown. He graduated from Gibson High School in 1943 and West Tennessee Business College in 1951. He served his county in the United States Navy from 1944 - 1946. He married Almeda Graves Brown in 1953 and they were married for forty-six years until her death in 1999. He retired from DuPont in New Johnsonville,TN with thirty years of service. He was a member of the New Johnsonville church of Christ serving as an Elder for eighteen years. He currently was a member of North Jackson church of Christ. He as an avid gardener with both vegetable and flower gardens. He also enjoyed woodworking.He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Clements and husband Bill of Chattanooga, TN; a son, Stephen W. Brown and wife Melanie of Jackson, TN; a brother, William Brown and wife Charlene of Henderson, TN; two grandchildren, Jenna Plemons and husband Kevin of Chattanooga, TN and Carla Rogers and husband Alex of Virginia Beach, VA and two great grandchildren, Garrett Plemons and Kathryn Plemons.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister, Angelin Henderson and her husband Dayton.The family will be receiving friends on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at Arrington Funeral Directors.SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with David Powell, minister officiating.
