VARWIGBiaginaBiagina Varwig passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016. She was born on September 12, 1933, to the late Charles and Josephine (Muni) Amato. She married her husband, Robert, in 1955 and he preceded her in death.Biagina was a 1951 graduate of Woodward. She was a parishioner of St. Francis DeSales and St. John the Baptist. Prior to starting her family, Biagina was a title typist.She loved her family and they considered her the best wife, mom, and grandmother. Biagina had a special gift that made each of her children feel as if they were her favorite. Her home, kitchen, and heart were always open. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, especially Italian food, and loved playing pool volleyball with her familyLeft to cherish Biagina's memory are her children, Gina (Rick) Keesecker, Jo Marie (Jeff) deGroff, Teresa (Gary) Keeler, Robert (Karen) Varwig, and Anthony (Brooke) Varwig; grandchildren, Ricky, Anthony, and Ryan Keesecker, Jeffy, Joey, and Jilly deGroff, Garrett, and Tia Gina Keeler, Kayla and Kelsey Varwig, and Hallie Bea, Bryson, Josie, and Gia Varwig; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, William Amato; sister, Toni Leach; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Maria Polinski, and nephew, Kenny Leach.Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 2 until 8 p.m. at the David R. Jasin - Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo. OH 43611. Prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 9, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will then follow at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5351 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611. Interment will be at Mt.
