Beverly Ann Mead entered into rest Friday, February 10, 2017. Mrs. Mead, a native of Andover, NY, was born on August 1, 1942 to Howard Barney and Gertrude Rogers. Following her husband's retirement from the US Army in 1981, she made her home in Augusta, GA. Services will be held at Hillcrest Mausoleum Chapel, 1 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2017 with Reverend Johnnie Biggs officiating. Beverly worked as a teacher's aide at Terrance Manor Elementary School and retired from University Hospital as a Telemetry Technician. Beverly enjoyed playing the accordion, embroidery, quilting, and many other crafts. She was a loving mother and grandmother, never met a stranger, and made friends everywhere she went. She was loved by all who knew her and she touched many lives. She will be deeply missed. Mrs. Mead was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, retired CSM Richard S. Mead and daughters Tina Marlane Mead and Kim Marie Williams. She is survived by her children Shelby Reed (Mike Matthews), Richard Mead (Nicole), and Brigetta Story (John).
