On Wednesday, October 9, 2019, the Collins family lost their hero. Bartholomew "Barry" Collins lost his life unexpectedly due to a stroke. Barry fought as hard as he could but the Lord saw fit to call him home.

Barry was born in Port Au Prince Haiti on July 10th, 1960. While attending grade school he always dreamed of becoming an Attorney and worked hard to make that dream come true. He opened up his own practice in 1996 and was proud to be able to pass the family business down to his children.

Family members will be scattering Barry's ashes at sea in a private ceremony. To honor Barry's memory they will be traveling to sea on the Family's boat named " bèl Jourdan mwen an". meaning, "My Beautiful Jourdan", a nod to his youngest and only Daughter.

Friends and members of the community are invited to join the Harkness family on Sunday August 15, 2032, at 3 pm for a celebration of life service. Barry is survived by his Son Barrinton Collins, his Wife Tonda Collins, his daughter Jourdán Collins and his granddaughter Naleiyáh Collins. He is predeceased by his mother Moriah Collins.
