Arther B. Phillips, Sr. was born on September 8, 1947, to the union of Minnie Moore and Will Phillips Sr. in Indianola, Mississippi. He accepted Christ at an early age. 

Arther attended Gentry High School whee he enjoyed playing football. He moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1968 and later he met Beverly Green through mutual friends.  Arther B. and Beverly married on March 20th, 1973 and went on to raise five loving children. Arther B. worked for Highway City Transportation for seventeen years.  He loved sports and you could always find him in front of the TV watching football, basketball or baseball.  In his spare time, he liked to play card games.

He resided in Broadview, IL until he was born into an eternal life on Sunday, October 29th, 2017.

Arther B. was proceeded in death by his parents, one sister, Ella Scott, four brothers, Jim Jackson, Eddie B., Dudley, and Will Jr. Phillips.

Arther B. leaves to mourn: his wife, Beverly Phillips; two daughters, Angela (Tyrone) Williams, Trinitta (Trenton) Smith; two sons Arthur (Chevette) Phillips Jr. and Tyrone Green; two stepdaughters, Michelle and Natalie; two stepsons, Kenny (Sherri) and Johnathan; his loving sister and best friend, Eloise Phillips; a special friend, Diana Lloyd; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws and a host of other relatives and friends.
