He was born on Oct. 29, 1946, in Marano Principato, Provincia of Cosenza, Italy, to the late Emilio and Ida (Conforti) Covelli. He came to the United States in August of 1961 and attended Kenosha-area schools. On Oct. 5, 1968, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, he married Angela Richie. He was employed by Morelli Overseas Export as a longshoreman until 1976. He then worked at Snap-on Tools, where he was a polisher and plater until he retired in 2004. Tony was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Kenosha and St. Viator Catholic Church in Las Vegas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening – especially when it came to growing and nurturing his fig trees. He also loved his weekly Tuesday breakfast get-togethers with the "boys" and playing Keno. He adored his granddaughter Madison, with whom he shared his love of music, and his grandson Nathan, who loved to watch the stock market ticker and practice complex math problems with him. He is survived by his wife, Angela; his two daughters, Lisa Covelli and Michelle (Robert) Gust, and two grandchildren, Madison and Nathan Gust, all of Henderson, Nev. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph (Karen) Covelli of Racine, his sister, Marisa (Gabriele) Nudo of Kenosha, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nicoletta and Kenneth Campagna of Kenosha, and many other aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Marcello, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Chester and Mary Richie.
